Near to the Brookhaven Calabro Airport, in Shirley Long Island, Brookhaven celebrates summer festivities for family fun. An extensive lineup of huge hot air balloons and great music concert performances on 2 big stages are the highlights of the festival.

This large carnival held midway in summer also includes stunt team performances, children’s jubilee circus, mega-kite shows and a custom car and motorcycle show and much, much more! The Metro NY Balloon & Music Festival returns to Brookhaven every summer.

In keeping with the event’s theme to Reach for the Sky, every morning and evening enormous colorful and special shaped hot air balloons get inflated, either to be tethered or to take flight, as per the wind conditions.

There is great excitement on the ground as well with monster truck rallies, motorcycle dare devil performances, extreme sports displays and other thrills. You also have skydiving, carnival shows, circus acts, travel expo, boat and RV show, vintage fire truck muster and craft and home improvement pavilions. Summer time is fun time in Brookhaven.
